Eefje Schuurkes (1993, Netherlands) is a fine artist working with analogue photographic processes.
She uses vintage cameras that require slow and deliberate methods of use, while simultaneously leaving space for chance and error to shape the work.
Her practice includes working with polaroid instant film, found rolls of expired 35mm and unpredictable darkroom processes such as lith printing — where the wildness of life, entropy and time become her collaborators, affecting the space of possibility before the materialisation of the image — recognising loss as an inherent current running through the process of becoming.
